We came to celebrate our 1st anniversary, and we got a very warm welcome from the Scarlet crew. They immediately upgraded our room when they knew this was our special occasion. There was wine waiting for us inside. The room is pretty tiny, but it’s lovely and has everything.
The location is also perfect, the famous Maxwell food court, Chinatown, and MRT are just across the road.

Stayed at The Scarlet recently for a quick layover. The hotel is in a great location, steps away from Maxwell Hawker center and a short walk to the metro. The room was on the smaller size and interior of the building itself was a bit dated. Our room was situated near the road, but noise was not an issue. We were able to sleep just fine. The manager is clearly a hard working guy. He was prompt and ready to help when needed. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and called a cab when we had issues getting a Grab. Overall, happy with our choice to stay at this hotel.
I booked a deluxe queen room for 2 nights and was upgraded to a deluxe king room for free. It was a pleasant surprise, the room is spacious and it's got a bathtub in it. There are complimentary bath salts provided and the mini bar in the room is also complimentary. The bed is soft and comfortable, and the room is clean. Do be informed that the deluxe room does not have a window, but I'm fine with it. There are snacks and fruits available for guests in the lobby which I find great!! Service & staff are good too, I will book again if I ever go back to SG.
Our room was too small. I knew when I booked the room that it would be on the small side but it was not until we entered the room that we realised how small it was. Next time we will book a bigger room.
Time for a renovation just a bit dark, and the deluxe room was small with no window that you could look out of. Plus, the 2 nights we were there, we couldn't get to the rooftop bar due to private functions not great when you're a guest. However, the location was fantastic for getting around.
I stayed here for 10 days when I’ve been to Singapore for a business travel. These are the reasons why I highly recommend the hotel: The service is great and the staff here are very courteous, friendly and helpful. It’s just amazing that they have complimentary drinks and snacks everyday! They even have fruits and chips at the lobby for the guests. Their deluxe room has the right size, good lighting, design and comfy. The location is very accessible, near the MRT station, food center and just across the Chinatown. Will definitely stay in this hotel next time!
